Who They Are

Empower Mobility LLC provides software development services and products for the mobile computing platform.  The company specializes in solutions for handheld devices, and has extensive experience with both Palm and Windows CE operating systems.

Tom Jaros, company Founder and President, has been writing software for mobile devices since the early 1990s.  He first started with Psion handhelds, then Windows CE handhelds in 1997 and more recently Palm.  He has worked on dozens of custom mobile software solutions throughout his career as well as two commercial products currently available online and in retail stores.

The company was founded as Jarosoft in February 2000 and later renamed Empower Mobility LLC in January 2005.  The company is located in Essex Junction, Vermont.

The company has done custom development for a wide range of customers in diverse markets including MEI, Inc. in Pennsylvania, Green Mountain Software and Catamount Software, two other mobile computing firms in Vermont, and Synergy Software, a Vermont company specializing in elder healthcare.
