Bill Schubart and Pat Robins are two of Vermont's most prominent business leaders and are also high-tech pioneers in our state.

Bill and Pat will talk about:

Bill SchubartWilliam Schubart is Chairman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Resolution, Inc., a fully integrated E-commerce services partner, offering web commerce design & integration, channel-specific call & e-mail customer care centers, Media Just in Time manufacturing, fulfillment, distribution and information & revenue management to broadcasters, print & electronic publishers, direct marketers and Fortune 500 companies. Schubart has chaired the Arts Council?s Media Panel, Literature Panel and Visual Arts Panel and has served as a resource panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts.  In addition, he has advised many non-profit and educational organizations on a variety of cultural and technical projects including the formation of Vermont Public Radio, on whose board he recently served as Chair.  Additionally, he has taught courses at the University of Vermont in music, technology and business.

Schubart is a founder and past chairman of the American Video Duplication Association, has served on the Governor?s Telecommunications Task Force.  He maintains professional memberships in the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (the Grammy Awards) and The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) He is past Chair of the Vermont Business Roundtable where he also chaired the Telecommunications & Information Technology Task Force. He is currently Chair of Fletcher Allen Healthcare, a 500-bed academic medical center.

Pat RobinsPat Robins is currently the Chairman and co-founder of The Symquest Group, a technology services company with headquarters in So. Burlington, Vt and offices in Plattsburgh N.Y.,Rutland Vt.,W. Lebanon N.H., and Keene N.H.. Prior to his involvement with Symquest, from 1969-1996, Robins was the president and CEO of McAuliffe Inc., a broad based distributor of office products with over 300 employees in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Northwestern N.Y..Robins also founded Northstar Leasing Corp in 1981, and sold the company in 2006.He has served as a director of Merchants Bancshares since 1974, Lake Champlain Transportation Co. from 1976-2004, presently serves on the board of three private companies, and  served on of several Burlington city commissions, including Public Works and the Church Street Marketplace Commission, both as Chair. Robins has been actively involved in healthcare management and governance over the years, serving as Chair of the University Health Center board for 5 years, trustee of  the Medical Center Hospital (predecessor to Fletcher Allen Healthcare ) for 8 years, Chair of the Vermont  regulatory commission, The Hospital Data Council from 1985-87, and Chair and founder of Employers Health Alliance during the early 1990?s.

Mr. Robins was a trustee of Champlain College from 1974-1977 and a trustee of St. Michaels College from 1991- 1997. He was a member of the Vermont Board of Education from 1990- 1996, and has served on numerous non profit boards, including The Vermont Land Trust, Shelburne Farms Foundation, The Visiting Nurse Association, The Lake Champlain Basin Management Consortium, and the Vermont Arts and Crafts Council.

He lives with his wife Lisa  Schamberg in Burlington. They have four children between them and four grandchildren. Robins is a lifetime boat and car nut and a card carrying high handicap golf fanatic.
