SUBJECT: ADVISORY: Governor Douglas Promotes ‘E-State’ Initiative at Meeting of Vermont Software Developers

WHAT: Gov. Strengthens E-State Partnership with Software Alliance

South Burlington, Vt. -- Governor Jim Douglas and other state officials tomorrow will address a meeting of the Vermont Software Developer’s Alliance.

The Governor will highlight his “E-state” initiative—a plan to provide universal access to high-speed broadband internet and wireless cell service by 2010—and highlight the advantages to Vermont’s emerging software development sector.

Governor Douglas will also announce a $25,000 state grant to further the development of the industry association.
